Mjavos Sangueetah of Zazzara
B:
Solveig & Ernst-Richard Stenersrød
DOB: 11/29/79
Valhalla: 01/09/94
Pedigree
Yago left us too soon at
14 years old but in her lifetime she achieved so much. She was the
third NFC in the United States and the mother of the first litter to
survive in the states. Unfortnately, it was her only litter as she
developed a closed pyometra and had to be spayed. She went on to
achieve Grand status in TICA (Supreme Grand), ACFA, CFF, AACE and
finished her grand in CFA at the age of 13. What an achievement at that
age! She was featured in calendars, several cat books and a box of
Purina Special Dinners.
To this day she remains the model of the Forest Cat here in the United
States and that is her legacy. A more wonderful cat could not have
ever come into our lives and she is still missed today. She is the
spirit behind Nissekatt and the reason I continue breeding to this day. |

Pedigree
Skiddle came over to
replace her daughter in the breeding program. Her nickname came
from the fact that if there was company she would skiddle from lap to
lap. It is so easy to see where her daughter got her wonderful
personality. Skiddle went on to produce some wonderful babies over
the years and lived with Mary Buckmaster because she seemed to prefer
it. She loved Charlie (Prince Charles) and was the hit whenever
Mary had a cat club meeting at her house. |

Puffy
Born: 1960
Rainbow Bridge: 1970
Although Puffy didn't have a pedigree behind her she certainly came from
a colony of Maine Coons. She was born in my cousin's barn in
Connecticut and they all looked alike except for colors. She had a
true Viking Spirit and was my constant companion throughout my
childhood. She is the reason I am breeding cats to day. My quest
to find another Puffy brought me originally to the Maine Coon and then
ultimately to the Norwegian Forest Cat.
