Welcome to the home of Nissekatt
Norwegian Forest Cats. We are located about 40 minutes above Atlanta,
Georgia and have been breeding Norwegian Forest Cats since 1980. We
are very proud of all the cats that have come from this cattery and we hope
that we can share with you some of our cats and kittens and the reason we
love the Norwegian Forest Cat so much. It is a wonderful breed and it
is truly one with nature and it still is a breed that very much enjoys being
a part of a family. We love all of our cats and want to thank those
that helped us to get started many years ago by trusting us with our first
cats here in the United States in particular Else Nylund of Pans cattery and
Solveig Tonneson of Mjavos cattery from Norway. They trusted me to
help introduce this breed to the United States and continue to preserve,
protect, and promote the breed. We are proud founding members of The
Norwegian Forest Cat Fanciers' Association which is one of non-affiliated
breed club here in the United States and a supporter of Norsk Skogkattring, the
breed club in Norway and register in the Cat Fanciers' Association
(CFA), The International Cat Association (TICA) and The American Cat
Fanciers' Association (ACFA).
