Cat Show In Lillehammer | Ina's Cats | Visiting Else Nylund | Fjords | Waterfalls | Mountains | Bergen |
Viking Ship Museum | Viking Folk Museum | National Costumes | Oslo Scenes

Bergen is a wonderful city by the sea.  It has a wide variety of architecture from the very old to the very new.  The peole are friendly and happy to give you information on their city.  Even the Railroad Station is interesting to see because it is very old and right next door is a very large and modern shopping mall.  The mall was fun to visit and there were stores in there that we also see in the USA.  One of our favorite places to visit was the Fish Market which was about a 15 minute walk from our hotel.  All the seafood was fresh caught that morning and cooked right at the docs with samples aplenty ranging from whale (no we didn't try that one) to two kinds of salmon to fresh shrimp.  The shrimp was cooked in salt water which gave it a saltier taste than we are used to here in the USA.  We enjoyed visiting the Bunad store where they make National Costumes which are very expensive because of the currency exchange as well as a high cost because of the intricate work involved in making them and the amount of silver needed.  We even saw a very unique way of displaying shoes for sale.  Enjoy the photos.

Photos and information will be added soon.
